Message from Kyla about WMR 2017
This is too wonderful for words! I wrote a song a while back called "Somebody Go Get God!" I wrote a letter to all my girlfriends last week...I was so pitiful, discouraged, weak in Faith and thoroughly tired of The Enemy and his constant attacks on everything we try to do for God! I said if you felt a burden, then pray. Somebody felt a burden, for sure, and somebody went to get God, and got
ahold of Him! Isn't that Glorious! Last week, I was worried, frustrated and felt like all these battles were gonna get the best of me, but SOMEBODY got ahold of Holy, Almighty God! Isn't it beautiful how bright everything looks when you know He has shown up and ready to assure you that He is still in control and the Devil isn't about to defeat you?
I don't know who prayed, but God bless your little heart; He heard and answered! Hallelujah, to the Lamb! I just wanted my friends to know how much I appreciate your lifting up Women's Mountain Retreat and me, as well! It should have been enough that God had already promised, "I'll be there", but you, who have had experience battling with the Enemy, know that the Devil is clever and constantly walking "to and fro in the earth, seeking whom he may devour!" He found me! But, praise the Great God of Israel, he couldn't devour me!! Somebody took the time to pray, and I can't thank you enough. I'm ready to "go to meetin"!
I'm sending my granddaughters some of my most beloved Scriptures: they have meant so much to me through the years, I know these messages from Heaven will be a strength to them, just when they need them most. I sent them 2 Corinthians 4:8,9 today: "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken, cast down, but not destroyed." We have all been lifted up on a dark stormy day by Paul's words to the Church in Corinth!
When we are rejoicing over a victory, the Great Apostle's words to Christians at Philippi reign in our hearts, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
Isn't this just like our gracious, merciful, compassionate Father: someone prays, gets ahold of Heaven, and suddenly, all is well! What a Friend we have in Jesus, the Son of God!
Thank you...all of you! I'll be seeing you in Pigeon Forge in two and a half short weeks where we will sing, shout, praise God while we love and bear one another's burdens!
Sending all my love,
Welcome to the online home of Women's Mountain Retreat.
