Letters To The Remnant
Kyla has been writing, teaching and praying concerning all aspects of “The Remnant.” For those who are a part of this “very small” group, as Isaiah described it in Isaiah 1:9, a note of encouragement and strengthening; for those who don’t understand what the remnant is, a plea to consider being a part of this small band of soldiers who, as in the days of Judah’s captivity, prayed and believed until they were released from bondage. Don’t miss an installment of this exciting series!
It’s Good to Walk with God
I walked with Him from the seat on the third row from the back of Poplar Creek Baptist Church in Marlowe, TN. It was a long aisle, but He walked every step with me—He knew I was actually headed toward a hill outside Jerusalem, there to kneel at the feet of an old rugged cross.
Momma couldn’t walk with me, daddy couldn’t walk with me—It was a walk that concerned only two—The Savior and me.
Later, as I walked those treacherous teenage years—every once in a while, I would want to go my own way; sort of let go of His hand. But, no, He said, I will never leave you or forsake—you’re engraven in the palm of my hand”—This hand that measured all the waters of the earth.
“Then Came The Pharisees”
Can you imagine trying to remove something that has been “engraven” in flesh! The very definition of “engrave” makes it an impossibility, for to engrave is to carve upon a surface and fix the carving indelibly which makes it permanent, with no means to remove it, not even with all the science at our disposal today. It is permanent.
Should one try to remove it the scar would be deep—there would always be a part of the engraving no matter what was used to get rid of it!
God is big enough to bring America back to “In God We Truly Trust!” Big enough to cause our hearts to burn as Cleopas’ and Mary’s did on the way home to Emmaus!
God is looking for prayer warriors, fearless and determined, “I’m going to go get God and hang on through fiery trials, raging storms—through dry desert places!”
It has never been a large group of believers who start the biggest fires—but a “REMNANT”…that small group the world, even other Christians call, “Fanatics, hopeless optimists, poor, ignorant souls who actually believe they can make a change!”
No. We don’t believe we can make a change. We just believe “There’s nothing too big for our God!” We believe “HE makes a way when there is no way.” We believe nothing is impossible for the God of all Glory!
